Collapsible Pent Houses/Lean to's
The penthouse (single sided and three sided) tailor made to suit User’s requirements is erected, to provide extra working space when the entity is in static mode. They are designed to meet high temperature +70° ± 3°C & low temperature -10° ± 3°C.
Generally the single sided pent house is to be fitted on the length side of shelter where as the three sided is along two lengths of the shelter and width of the vehicle.
Unless specified, the height may be 2400mm at shelter site and 1900mm away from shelter. The length would depend on the length of the shelter and the width may be 2500mm for single sided and 2 x 2500 mm plus width of the vehicle for the three sided penthouse.
The pent house has aluminum pipe framing with spikes for fixing in the ground, guy ropes and internal fittings like lights, fans, tables, chair as required. The Penthouse is fitted to the shelter using a framing. Fabric panels made of Special water proof fabric is used for the sides and roof and secured with straps, turn-buckles and/or Velcro tape to tie the panels to the framing. In certain cases the roof is made of light weight metal and insulation. In this case the roof panel is hinged to the side of the shelter and during transportation can be either left clamped to the side wall of the shelter or removed and stored elsewhere. The side has a door with black out curtain, windows with Mosquito netting with flap, tucked under the floor to avoid water ingress or dust and roof has day light panels. The floor consists of water proof and jute matting.
The fabric items are packed in canvas bags, metallic items in aluminum boxes and other items in wood crates/boxes.
These are supplied with electrical fittings and furnishings like map board, folding table, chair, power boards, etc.
Though erection itself is simple, it demands due care in layout, stretching, tensioning and in handling so that no damage takes place; especially to the canopy. Training of erection crew will not only ensure long life, but will also help in reducing erection time and in obtaining neat presentation of the shelter.
