Mr. S.K. Dass Chairman & Managing Director

Mr. S. K. Dass, Chairman & Managing Director of M/s DH Limited, is a third generation entrepreneur and is an Automobile Engineer from UK. In his early years, he was closely associated with the setting up of the joint ventures by the family with companies like Leyland and Mico Bosch.

In the 1950's, he was actively involved in the manufacture of passenger coaches for the Indian Railways and, subsequently, entered into a Joint Venture with M/s Hitachi Limited of Japan for manufacture of Electricity Watt Hour Energy Meters. In the late 1960's, Mr. Dass collaborated with a number of European and Japanese Manufacturers for a range of products ranging from Refrigeration Relays and Protectors, Automobile Carburettors to Passengers Cableway/Cablecar Systems amongst others.

In order to relate to the market better, it was considered necessary to diversify further and , consequently, the Company entered the field of Manufacturing range of Defence Products.

Mr. Dass's vast experience has been instrumental in keeping up the good standing of the Company.

Mrs. Veena Dass Director

Ms. Veena Dass has been associated with the Company as a Whole Time Director since its inception.

Ms. Dass's tryst with Japanese Art and Culture began when she accompanied her husband to Tokyo for the signing of the Joint Venture with M/s Hitachi Ltd. There, she started learning lkebana, the famous Japanese Art of Flower Arrangement, from the Headmaster himself, and today, her name is synonymous with lkebana. On her return to New Delhi, she set up the Delhi Chapter of the Sogetsu School of lkebana which has grown by leaps and bounds.

She has also served on the Committees of several prestigious Organizations like lkebana International, Women's International Club and Charitable Institutions like the Delhi Commonwealth Women's Association.

Ms. Dass has many accolades to her credit -- she was awarded the 'Eiyo Sho' and 'Honour' Awards for her creative and distinctive approach to lkebana. She was recently felicitated by FICCI-Flo with an 'Achievers' Award. Ms. Dass was also conferred 'The order of the rising sun, Gold and Silver Ray's by His Imperial Highness, The Emperor of Japan, for helping promote Indo-Japan ties.

Mr. Pradeep Dass Ceo & Executive Director

Under the able direction of Mr. Pradeep Dass, M/s DH Limited has, through sustained, innovative efforts, indigenously developed and introduced for the first time various specialized Defence Security and Protection Systems for the Indian Armed Forces including for sensitive installations. Some of the major systems developed & introduced in India are highlighted as under:-

• Underground Nuclear, Biological & Chemical (NBC) Shelters- Portable type as well as fixed installations.
• Hardware Systems for 'Electronic Warfare' as well as for various Missile Projects Viz Shelters, NBC Ventilation Systems, Elevating Masts for Antennae, etc.
• Mobile NBC Protected Shelters including Robotic Marking Systems for isolation of contaminated areas.
• NBC Protection to highly sensitive buildings.
• Laser Based Surveillance Systems.

In view of the various achievements made possible under the direction of Mr. Pradeep Dass, the Company has received many awards, details of which are given hereunder:-

• National Award for Excellence in Indigenization for NBC Shelter-2000- 2002 from Hon'ble Raksha Mantri of India Shri George Fernades.
• Certificate from CEO & MD BrahMos Aerospace for BrahMos Missile Systems.
• Defence Technology Absorption Award -2009 from Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh on National Technology Day.
• Citation from Director VRDE for Successful trials of Agni-1
• Award from BrahMos Aerospace

Many of the systems developed and manufactured are regularly displayed at the Republic Day Parade.
Mr. Pradeep Dass has, over the past decade, acquired in-depth knowledge of Defence Security Systems- in particular relating to the NBC field. He has made many presentations in connection with Defence Related Security and Protection Systems including many where foreign participants were present.

He lays great emphasis on environmental pollution control, particularly in the context of the NBC systems developed by his Company under his guidance.
