History

The roots of DH Limited go back to the Second World War Period. The parent company, then, were leaders in North India for fabrication work involving vehicle bodies. Thereafter, by the middle of the 1950's heavy fabrication works like complete railway coaches were added to the product profile. It was in 1960 that Dass Hitachi Limited was formed under a joint venture agreement with Messers Hitachi Limited of Japan, for the manufacture of watt-hour meters. It was a 'state-of-the -Art' Product and the company soon became the leader in the field of manufacture of this product. DH Limited (formerly Dass Hitachi Limtied) is today a part of the DH Group of companies.

The Company has diversified over the years into other products manufacturing Cableway Systems and Specialized Systems for the Defence Forces. The products range from medium technology fabrication items to high technology precision products. A large number of the solutions are for the Armed Forces, which has brought in a strong binding with the Defence Department and with whom a very good track record has been established.
